The essence of
the Four-Hour
Work Day is about slowing growth and along with that ensuring a massive
step toward social equity.
Speaking at the 3rd International Conference for
Ecological Sustainability and Social Equity, Ugo Bardi said peak oil had been a
big disappointment as he, along with many others, expected it to stimulate the
development of clean energy leading to the avoidance of climate change.
However, he was sad to report that such development and the
resultant avoidance of this pressing dilemma of human’s wrestling with an injured
climate has not eventuated.
A condensed version of his September 21 talk can be found on
Cassandra’s Legacy.
